Beginner Cross-Country Ski Skill Classes
These 3 week classes skills classes will teach skiers the modern day skills and techniques of skate and classic skiing. The sessions will be made up of technique drills and instruction to help skiers master the skate skiing techniques of V1, V2 and V2 alternate and classic skiing techniques of striding, herringbone, double pole, and double pole kick.
All clinics meet at The Trailhead in Theodore Wirth Park with LNR coaches Ingrid Remak, Greg Klave and Mary McKelvey.
Equipment: Please note that you must provided your own ski equipment. We highly recommend you purchase your own equipment (ski swaps are quite inexpensive). If you prefer to rent, ski rentals are available from the Trailhead adventure shop. You will need to arrive 40 min ahead of time to rent equipment at the Trailhead.
Beginning Skate Skiing
Learn the basics of skate skiing over a 3 week progressive skills course. Note that LNR beginner clinics are intended for people who have been out on skis once or twice and are ready to make some improvements in their ski technique.
Session # 1 January Sessions: Jan 7th, Jan 14th, Jan 21st
Session # 2 February Sessions: Feb 11th, Feb 18th, March 4th
Time: Saturdays at 2:00pm-3:30pm at The Trailhead ski stadium. For waitlist, we are offering second session at 4:00pm-5:30pm
