Tri-Loppet Off-Road Triathlon
There is a storm cell coming through now that will last 20 minutes with a bigger cell coming through in 60-90 minutes. As safety is our first priority, we have to make the tough decision to now cancel the race. Shuttles will run until 12pm. Beer and food at Trailhead until 11am. We are all very disappointed and wish the weather would have cooperated!
Should messages need be delivered to all racers for any reason they will be posted to this page, Facebook and announced over the start line loud speaker.
The Tri-Loppet is a point to point triathlon using the Chain of Lakes and trails in Theodore Wirth Park. Paddle 7K, run 5.5K and mountain bike 13K – all in the heart of the city. Put your skills to the test in this ultimate summer celebration!
Please be aware that the Minneapolis Park & Rec Board (MPRB) has closed North Beach until July 22 for swimmers due to E. coli counts. Boat traffic has not been restricted and no illnesses have been reported. The Tri is scheduled to go on as planned. Please limit your exposure to the water by not swimming, drinking or purposefully splashing. For more info, please check MPRB’s website.
