LNR Athletes Travel to Romania for World Junior Championships

1507128_10153969265279096_5915928398634305838_nFour LNR athletes/alumni are competing at the World Junior Championships in Rasnov, Romania, February 20-28. All qualified for the US Junior Team at the US National Championships in Houghton, MI in early January. Competition began yesterday with the Sprint, and continued today with the 5k and 10km Classic Individual Start events.

Conditions in Romania have been “challenging.” There was almost no snow on arrival so all teams were running for the first days of training. Two days before the first race they trucked in snow for the entire 5km loop. Snow is still very slushy and dirty, but the athletes are keeping positive.
