Wirth Park History Curator

Wirth Park has a rich history of year-round recreation. In addition to its two golf courses and cross country ski trails, Wirth Park has been host to downhill skiing, ski jumping, the Aquafollies, and more. Wirth Park hosted the State Meet for skiing (cross country, downhill, and jumping) for many years. Nearby North High School won the State Meet and had a number of skiers go on to national and international success.

As we look to complete The Trailhead, we are hoping to make all of that history part of the project. We need someone to lead the effort. Looking for a volunteer intern. Duties would include gathering information, interviewing “old timers,” creating a timeline, and working with the Loppet design team on the integration of the history into The Trailhead project.
