Winter Hiking

Winter hiking is allowed on paved trails that are plowed and on specifically maintained winter hiking trails. The Loppet Foundation maintains winter hiking trails at Hiawatha Regional Park and in the Eloise Butler quadrant (southeast quadrant) of Theodore Wirth Regional Park.

Winter hiking is allowed on groomed ski trails where trails are specifically marked as shared. Hikers should walk only on the left-hand side (non-tracked) portion of shared trails.

Cross country skiingSnowshoeing, and Fat Biking are allowed on the groomed ski trails and require a trail pass. Snowshoeing and Fat Biking are allowed on the single track trails.
