YO DEVO Team Session II

(Break for Spring Break trip March 27 – April 4)
For those who attended the off-season training program and are not quite ready to commit to a performance/competition schedule or cyclists who didn’t attend the off-season program we offer a continuation of the off-season regimen consisting of sport-specific strength training and indoor cycling programming using smart-trainer technology. As the weather accommodates, the cycling component of this program will transition outside. Classes are structured to accommodate all abilities using a periodization framework and integrated biopsychosocial method, ensuring every participant gets a developmentally appropriate level of challenge according to their individual goals, competence, availability, and rate of progression. Finding the fun in training to compete is the goal! Competition preparation strategies and best practice are emphasized and the focus is on fundamental and sport-specific skill enhancement and refinement for race registration. The Minnesota Mountain Bike Series races are the primary opportunities for trying out racing without the financial commitment or travel expenses the LCW Competition Team incurs.
Spring session is the second phase of a four-phase sequence (~10 week sessions) designed to guide participants through an entire training year. Though participation for the full year is not required, the option to attend the entire four-phase program provides optimal developmental support and instruction and is proven most beneficial for those seeking comprehensive, progressive, and consistent coach mentorship and instruction.
The Loppet Cycle Works YO DEVO program ensures each rider is safe, learning, and having fun exploring all cycling has to offer, from those who have discovered a passion for a specific discipline and are looking to take their riding to the next level, including races from time to time.
