Due to anticipated extreme cold all Fastenal Parallel 45 events have been rescheduled for Saturday, March 2. See our schedule page for the updated schedule.
All Parallel 45 events will take place near The Trailhead at Theodore Wirth Park.
Specator and participant parking is available in the Trailhead Lot, The Chalet Lot, The Mortenson Lot and on street nearby (e.g. Plymouth Avenue). All are within a few minutes walk from the Trailhead.
Spectator and participant drop off may take place at the Trailhead Lot Turnaround.
The Metro Transit bus lines 7 and 32 stop directly in front of the Theodore Wirth Park Chalet.
Online registration has ended. *VERY* limited spots remain for in-person, day-of registration. Please arrive early if you wish to secure one!
Packets for the Parallel 45 Cup and LoppetX may be picked up from the Trailhead Customer Service Desk. They may be picked up on Saturday, March 2, from 7:00am until 4:00pm.
Briefings for coaches and athletes will be given immediately prior to the relevant events
- Parallel 45 Cup Classic: 7:45 at the Lower Stadium Start Line
- Parallel 45 Cup Skate: 1:00 at the Lower Stadium Start Line
- LoppetX XC Ski: 2:15 at the Trailhead North Patio
- LoppetX Fat Tire: 4:45 at the Trailhead North Patio
LoppetX Practice Runs
Each LoppetX racer will be allowed a practice run after their briefing; i.e. at 2:25 LoppetX skiers will be allowed a practice run and at 5:00 LoppetX bikers will be allowed a practice run.
Seedings, Brackets, and Heat Schedule
Spectators for LoppetX will want to position themselves along what for the rest of the winter serves as the Tubing Hill and just north of The Trailhead for the best views of the action.
Results will be available here after the events.
Awards and Prizes
Awards ceremonies will take place shortly after the relevant competitions end.
For the Parallel 45 Cup, awards will be given to the top three individual athletes, as well as the top male team, top female team, and the top mixed team.
For LoppetX, the top three finishers in all open race categories (M-Ski, F-Ski, M-Fat Tire, F-Fat Tire) will be given awards. In addition, 24 total competitors will receive cash prizes, including $500 to the winners of their race categories and $100 to the winners of our back door bracket.
Racers in the intermediate categories will not receive awards or prizes, but they will still have a blast.
