Parking & Transportation
There is no free parking at the start area! Parking is in the Calhoun Executive Center’s lot at the corner of Calhoun Parkway and Excelsior Boulevard (the Executive Center has a sailboat on the roof). Participants and spectators are strongly encouraged to park at the Calhoun Executive Center, just across the parkway from the north end start area.
Spectators may find that bicycling is the best way to watch the race. An extensive system of parkways runs adjacent to most of the course. (See http://www.minneapolisparks.org for more information).
At 9:05 a.m. a shuttle bus will carry spectators and participants from the start at Bde Maka Ska to Brownie Lake and will drop off at the roundabout in front of the Wirth Chalet.
From 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. the shuttle bus will run between Brownie Lake and will drop off at the roundabout in front of the Wirth Chalet.
From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. the shuttle bus will run between the Wirth Chalet, Brownie Lake and the Executive Center. There will only be one or two shuttle buses so participants in a rush should make other arrangements.
*The bus can not turn around at The Trailhead – it will drop off/pick up at the Wirth Chalet.
