Classic Ski Loppet
Saturday, February 1st. 9:00 am
Bde Maka Ska North Beach, 2707 West Lake Street
The Classic Ski Loppet is the main event of the City of Lakes Loppet weekend. This marathon distance (i.e. 35-40k) point-to-point race is a truly unique cross-country skiing experience. The Loppet starts at the North Beach on Bde Maka Ska, takes racers through the Minneapolis Chain of Lakes, and finishes at The Trailhead in Theodore Wirth Park. Racers experience an incredible mix of urban skiing and wooded natural experience.
The Classic Ski Loppet is a classic/diagonal stride only. For those that would prefer skating, check out the Skate Ski Loppet on Sunday.
The Classic Ski Loppet will start in a single wave mass start.
