Race Format:

Adults: In most cases, there will be four skiers per heat and top two advance.

Youth: Youth Classic races are team sprint relays. Each skier skis three times (for a total of six laps per team. U18/20 girls and boys and U12 boys will have heats and finals, all other youth age groups have finals only. Youth Classic Team Sprints are Skiwerx Series points races (U10, U12, U14). Youth Classic racers who did not request a relay partner have been paired.

Course Location: The entire sprints course is located on Nicollet Mall, on the two blocks between 8th and 10th street. The start line is at Nicollet and 10th street.

Bib Pickup: Bib pickup is from 3:30pm through the first rounds of all Adult races. Bib pickup is onsite, next to the start line. Heat times will also be provided at bib pick up.

Bib Return: ALL racers must return their bibs when done racing for the night, both Tuesday and Wednesday. This includes paper bibs! Finish line crew will collect bibs from skiers who do not advance to the next round.

Bag Drop/Ski Rack: Due to security restrictions, there is VERY limited space for bags. There will be a very small bag drop area and ski rack on the snow, near the start line, open from 4:00 – 9:00pm. Please limit bags as much as possible. If friends or family are spectating, we recommend leaving bags with them.

Indoor Warming Area: Target’s employee commons space, right next to the course, is open to the public.

NO Wax Testing for Classic races: due to limited time and space, there is NO wax testing. Course would currently be described as hard pack icy snow. U14 and under are REQUIRED to have kick wax, skins or fish scale skis.

Warming Up: On-snow warm up time is very limited (see schedule above). Please bring running shoes for a running warm up!

Scratches: To scratch from the races, please email both parsons@loppet.org and amycich@gmail.com. This helps keep the brackets fair. Registration is not refundable.

Please plan ahead and allow plenty of time to get downtown! Visit our Loppet Trail at Super Bowl LIVE page for transportation suggestions: http://www.loppet.org/loppet-trail/getting-there/.
