LNR Head Coach Piotr Bednarski Awarded the Igor Badamshin Coach of the Year Award

CXC held its annual Coaches Symposium this past weekend at Lakewoods Resort in Cable, Wisconsin. Over 100 coaches attended presentations led by US Ski Team Coach Bryan Fish.

During the Symposium, Yuriy Gusev, CXC Executive Director, awarded the inaugural Chairman’s Awards in leadership, volunteerism, and coaching categories. LNR Head Coach, Piotr Bednarski was awarded the Igor Badamshin Coach of the Year Award for his success in developing Loppet Nordic Racing into the top ranked Junior Club in the nation. In its first year in existence, LNR placed 2nd Overall (combined Men and Women) in 2013, and was the National Champion Club in 2014 (Stowe, Vermont) and in 2015 (Truckee, California). LNR leads the nation in number of USSA certified coaches, and has greatly expanded its youth racing arm, FAST KIDS, for ages 8-12.
