3 day a week programs

South location: Hyland-  starts Monday June 12, Hyland Nordic Area

Week of June 26th Schedule

Monday – Classic rollerski. L3 intervals with double pole focus.

Wednesday – Classic rollerski. 2hr distance ski including technique drills.

Friday – on foot intensity, bring short classic poles for bounding. 2hrs total. Bring water.

Week of July 4th
No practice due to MSHSL Blackout policy. We will resume Monday July 10th.

Hey LNR Wirth Beach Training Group
Time for some classic and double pole focus this week. Please see the schedule below. Note we will not have practice the week of July 4th. Please bring a water belt to ALL practices.

Week of June 26th Schedule

Monday evening  – Classic rollerski. L3 intervals with double pole focus.

Wednesday evening – Classic rollerski. 2hr distance ski including technique drills.

Friday morning 7am – on foot intensity, bring short classic poles for bounding. 2hrs total. Bring water.

Week of July 4th
No practice due to MSHSL Blackout policy. We will resume Monday July 10th.

COMP TEAM- week of June 26th

Week of June 26–  
Mon-  7am Hyland- Skate Technique- and Distance workout.  warm up 10 min, tech time 15-20 min, then ski time 1:30 incl 20 min of legs only
Tues- 7am Afton. meet in Town of Afton.  Classic DP Time Trial.  followed by classic tech L3 intervals. make sure your poles are appropriate length- doing TT with poles that are too short – not fun.  We will do Classic DP TT with Collegiate program athletes
Tues 4pm  Hopkins/Lindbergh Center Strength-  Running mechanics and strength- followed by core
Wed 7am  Hyland Long Day.  Skate Ski- 90+ min and Run 90 min-   2.8-3.0hr total training time.    bring waterbelts and snacks.
Thurs AM- easy running 30-40 min ON YOUR OWN
Thurs 4pm  Hopkins/Lindbergh CenterStrength- and core
Fri 7am  Hyland.  get ready, Harvey is ready to crush you!  bounding L4 bounding.  ouchy.  ouchy.  ouchy.  stretching after…ahhhh.
Friday PM- on your own- active recovery- 30 min biking- loosen up after bounding
Sat-  active recovery 20-30 min running, or easy 45 min biking
Sun-  Skate rollerski, 1:45-2:00hrs.  include 8-12 x 15 sec L6 speeds with 1min45 sec easy skiing.
Week of July 2–  limited Comp Team schedule this week-   High Intensity
Mon- LONG DAY-  your choice- long adventure OD (over distance) preferably not rollerski.   (2.5hr running, 4.0+ biking, 3+ canoe, etc)
Tues-  No LNR- 4th of July–      Short strength workout on your own-  pullups, dips, v-ups, pushups, plank, handstands, 20-30 min
Wed-  7am  French Park neighborhood, Skate Intensity. L4/L5  parking at ARMSTRONG high school.  (by tennis courts)
Thurs- 8:30am  Wirth Beach. warm up 10 min, running mechanics drills, followed by 12 x 25 sec max bounding in bog.  15 min cool down, stretching
Thurs- 4pm Strength.  location TBA.
Friday- 7am  Hyland.   Distance Run 50-60 min, followed by classic rollerski 90-100 min, stretching after
Sat- active recovery day, short bike or run 20-30 min super chill
Sun- Intensity Day-  running Race, mtb race, or Classic Rollerski in rolling terrain with 1 x 30 min at L3/L4 effort
