Orienteering on Skis

Saturday, Mass start format
Participant Bus leaves from Lake Street side of Calhoun Square at 11:30am for event start location.
Event Start: Approximately 12:30pm with an Uptown finish

Navigate on skis using a map and compass to earn your chance at being the inaugural champion of this new Loppet event. Hosted by the Minnesota Orienteering Club (MNOC.org), this event will take more than just fit legs and fast skis. Two different courses are available based on difficulty and length. Intermediate/Advanced (7-9k) and Novice (4-5k) courses are offered. (Note that there is no day-of registration for this event)

Prize Categories

Medals to the top three finishers in each category – male and female.

Maps

Maps will be distributed just before the start of the event. In order to prevent too much pre-scouting the exact location of the start will be announced in the week before the event. Finish on Hennepin Avenue in Uptown.

Entry Fee

There is no race day registration for the Ski-O Loppet.

Packet Pickup

Participants pick up their packets on the bus going to the Ski-O start area (to be announced). Racer bags will be transported back to the finish line Racers must provide their own bags.
