Loppet Holiday High School Ski Camp
This is a great opportunity to spend time getting personalized coaching to improve your ski technique – both classic and skate. This camp focuses on the fundamentals based on your current skill level. You will be working in a group of 6-8 skiers of the same skill level. There are typically two coaches per group to help you to work on your individual challenges to become a better skier. Coaches will be from area schools such as Benilde-St Margaret’s, Spring Lake Park/St Anthony, Holy Family, and Mound/Westonka High Schools, as well as well-known area racers, Matt Liebsch, Josie Nelson (maybe Dave), and Ryan Atwell. Loppet Holiday Camp is designed create an environment of accelerated development where high school coaches, and top level professional and citizen skiers can share their passion of skiing with developing athletes.
Who: Active Minnesota High School Junior Varsity and Varsity Team Participants (7-12th grade)
When: December 27-28, 2016 – Classic on the 27th and Skate on the 28th (weather may effect order)
Time: 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. for Varsity level and 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. for JV
Where: Theodore Wirth Park Chalet
Cost: $40 (scholarships available). This includes a long sleeve Tech-shirt. Skiers will need Theodore Wirth Ski pass (this are not included in the cost of the camp). Food is available for sale at the Chalet, but you should plan to bring your own food.
