Summer Adventure Camp 2017 has been one of the most energetic and exciting seasons in recent memory!

We have a new-and-improved counselor-in-training program where camp counselors gain skills through seminar-style programming and a weekly service project. We’ve also made tweaks to our rollerskiing program – now, rollerblading – and orienteering is now further afield!

This summer, old traditions have met new faces and personalities. Many campers have returned for their third, fourth, or fifth year of camp. A lively team of new staff add their own personal touches to the Adventure Camp community.

There have been canoes tipped and rollerblades raced. Orienteering and obstacle courses have been navigated. Some spectacular stories have been told of berms crushed and bunnies hopped (getting big air!) from mountain biking. Along the way, there has been a good amount of personal growth, too. Lots of dusting off your camp t-shirt and not giving up.

These first few weeks of camp have flown by and are a good sign of things to come for the rest of the summer. All of our other sessions are filled up and the slate is packed with fun. We are excited to see what the remaining weeks of this summer will bring. You could even say us coaches are as excited as the kids are every Friday when the whistle kicks of the Adventure Race! And that’s a level of emotion that’s pretty hard to beat.
